Dear Croquet Participant:
Thank you for supporting the 24th Croquet Tournament to be held
Sunday, June 9, 2013. Please take a few minutes to read the following, as everyone’s help is needed to make the day a success.
A RAIN DATE is not scheduled. Regardless of the weather, we will enjoy our food and friends. The Croquet matches will be re-scheduled at a later date if the weather is nasty. So regardless of the weather, plan on coming for a fun day.
ADMISSION BRACELETS will be mailed to tent holder prior to event.
Please distribute the admission bracelets to everyone in your group prior to the event so they may enter the grounds without waiting. If this isn’t possible, you may leave them at the entrance tent. Please leave them in an envelope with their name on it.
Prior to the event, additional admissions may be purchased at $40.00 per guest.
ALL ADULTS must have an admission bracelet to enter the grounds and the bracelet must be worn throughout the event. Due to the open area and the large number of people attending, the University of Pitt Security Officers will strictly enforce this.
Please tell your guests.
ADULT TEAMS must register prior to the event. Team starting times will be mailed or emailed to tent holder the week of the event. Please notify your guests of their starting time.
CHILDREN under the age of 18 years are admitted free and do not need to wear an admission bracelet. A TOURNAMENT will be held for children and youth. A $ 20.00 entry fee is required. Please call 724-836-1000 to register. You can also register before noon on Sunday under the Players Tent located center field.
VEHICLES may be driven to your tent location if the ground is not wet, until 10:30 a.m. We will have security enforcing this for safety precautions. You may not drive onto field again to pick up items until security feels it is safe for guests and our children.
****Only tent holders that have tent passes may enter the field area. All other guests must park in parking lot area by the library. Too many cars try to access the ball field area, and are unsafe for the children. Please inform your guests. ****
In case of heavy rain on or prior to the day of the event we may not be able to drive on the field. You will then be directed by security where to park and staff will help to get your items to your location. We will have volunteers to assist you.
DELIVERIES may be made to your location on Saturday, June 8. If possible, try to get any big items out of the way on Saturday, to help ease your load on Sunday. A guard will be provided overnight to watch the area. We will make every effort to guard and protect your items, but we cannot be held responsible for damages due to inclement weather or acts of vandalism that is beyond the controls of the normal and the usual security precautions.
On Sunday, vehicles only with car passes may deliver to your location if the field is not wet.

ELECTRICITY is not available to tents. Please plan accordingly.
WEARING OF WHITE is mandatory for everyone in attendance.
RENTALS. All Occasion Rentals supplies rentals for Sunday, who should be contacted for extra tables, chairs, linens and anything else you may need for your party. Please contact them by June 1.
Your order for supplies will be at your tent location on Saturday.

DIMARTINO ICE will provide ice on Sunday.
TENT JUDGING Judging is the format for choosing the best-decorated tents.
Three Judges will award tent decorations. There will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winnings.
This is not mandatory, only for fun and it is your choice if you want to participate.
RESTRICTIONS Advertising signs such as 'donated by' 'catered by' or advertisement and campaigning of any kind is prohibited.
In order to insure the comfort and safety of our participants, grills, extra canopies, tents, and pets will not be permitted.
YOUNG CHILDREN Little children tend to wander. We will have security
wristbands for small children so you may write the name of your child and the tent name. Please make sure your guests with little ones are notified of this. They are available upon arrival under the Entrance area.
